Chapter 97

Christopher tells Mrs. Alexander why he was gone the one day when he meets her. Then Christopher tells her some things about him in the hope she would tell him something about Wellington or Mr. Shears. Mrs. Alexander tells Christopher his mother and Mr. Shears having an affair. After that Christopher goes home because he was scared because Mrs. Alexander is a stranger.

It is absorbing to me that Christopher directly say hello to Mrs. Alexander´s dog because he doesn´t so something like that to strangers only when it are animals. Why is Christopher so quiet after Mrs. Alexander told him about the affair? Is he thinking who killed Wellington or is he sad because his mother do something wrong like that?!
