Mrs Forbes tells Christopher his mother will come in the heaven if the dies, but Christopher doesn´t believe that because he expounds the death of a person organic.
When his mother comes to hospital he never saw her after that and he not even was at her funeral.

I think Christopher is a boy weighing one´s words because when Mrs Forbes told him his mother comes to heaven. He didn´t believe and had to explain it with the help of molecules. He doesn´t understand somebody wanting to talk something “nicer” as it really is. But here you can see afresh Christopher is an artful boy because he knows everything about molecules and something like that.
 But why wasn´t Christopher neither in the hospital nor at the funeral?
Is he a boy who doesn´t really have feelings for other persons?
